Great to hear from you! Yes, Mountain View is one of those very
special places. After college at good old MSU (MU nowdays). I got a house in the big town of Fifty-Six and married a Mountain View hometown boy. I had a position with the Forest Service as an interpreter at Blanchard Springs Caverns to get started then worked my way up to the Sylamore-St. Francis Forest Wildlife Biologist (specialist in Cave Ecosystems).

Got our 2 kids grown and through school. My husband, R.P. had a large sawmill and logging business until 1991 when we sold it. He still has an equipment and supply business in Mountain View that we operate at our at our leisure.

Last year the Forest Service offered me a promotion and new location.
I'm the District Ranger for the Angelina National Forest in Texas (just
outside of Lufkin). We still have land in Mountain View and are building a cabin for our frequent visits back home. It is located out of Allison west on the mountain top overlooking White River and Sylamore Creek. Our son and his 2 girls live in Mountain View, our daughter and her 4 kids (2girls,2boys) live outside New Orleans. So here in east Texas we are between them both.....and Grandma gets
to spend lots of time with the grandkids (ages 13 down to 8 months). East Texas has been good, I like my work and the great people I work with here, but still go back to Mountain View every other weekend if possible.

Well, maybe we can catch up more at the reunion. I was late in saying
I would come due to a schedule conflict. I will be at a meeting in Dallas that whole week, but trying hard to reschedule Thursday so I can drive to Memphis.

I maybe late but I will be there somehow. This is going to be a great
time, and I thank all of you there for putting in all the hard work. Please share this note with any who would enjoy it and I would like to hear more about your adventures since Frayser High.

Keep Smiling,
Karen
